So many times we have heard about a new battery technology that is going to double capacity or double recharge times only to be disappointed that it doesn't arrive (Why We Don’t Have Battery Breakthroughs).
Could this be the real thing?
I'm no battery expert but it seems reasonable (along with all the other companies). This has a great potential from lighter or longer lasting phones to electric cars that can go further. Combine this with automated cars and we may never need to own a car again. Pull out the app and call one no need to park just drop me off where I'm going.
By starting with this real-world manufacturing perspective and building real-world batteries, we were able to understand what materials worked in those processes, and then work backwards to design new materials.”
