Not so long ago the mantra in industry was "innovate or die". Nowadays, as Jill Clancy's excellent article implies, it should be "collaborate or die".
It's not just the construction industry (the subject of Jill's article) that might benefit from reduced project management costs, new processes and the creation of additional value. Every business can benefit from those. They are fundamental to the creation and maintenance of competitive advantage.
Maybe we should all be taking a leaf out of the construction industry's book.
Financial benefits are being delivered through reduced cost of project management and more joined up governance (up to 30%), through reduced (or no) man marking, through identifying different ways of doing things – creating additional value, through reducing conflict and improving issued resolution. And this is just the start….
