Productivity in the UK is at its lowest for eight years according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The head of the British Chambers of Commerce Suren Thiru believes that the issue is down to deep-rooted issues in our economy that have limited growth finance particularly within the manufacturing sectors.
Whether the issue lies in the structural problems of our economy or elsewhere, there are steps that businesses can take to combat the problem. One of them, we would argue, is the use of IDEF0 optimisation software.
As we have mentioned in previous posts, operational optimisation systems facilitate productivity and efficiency. By using an operating system that empowers the workforce through simple yet powerful process mapping tools, a business can take its first steps toward being more productive as a whole.
Buck the trend and empower your workforce to get out of this unproductive rut.
